SAHCO appoints ex-FAAN director, Aboderin as MD



The Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc has appointed a former Director of Finance and Accounts, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Adenike Aboderin, as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer with effect from Thursday, February 1.

In a corporate notice filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Thursday signed by the Company Secretary, Jesuyemisi Odeyemi, she takes over from Basil Agboarumi following the completion of his tenure.

Aboderin is a finance professional with many years of Executive Leadership, Financial and Management experience in both Private and Public Sectors.

According to the statement, she has held many Senior Executive Management positions in both the Public and Private sectors and until December 2023, she was the Director Finance and Accounts, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria where she managed the finance, accounts, credit control and budget directorate of the organisation.

“In the Public sector, she worked as the Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Ogun State on Trade and Investments and also oversaw the state’s Economic Planning Department between 2011 and 2014.

Aboderin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Lagos. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria; Fellow, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria and an AMPAP Certified International Airport Professional,” part of the statement read.

SAHCO is one of the Aviation Ground Handling companies in Nigeria offering services in passenger handling, ramp handling, cargo handling and warehousing, aviation security, baggage reconciliation, crew bus and executive Lounge services and other related ground handling services.

In its unaudited financial statements for the year ended December 2023, the firm saw its revenue rise to N16.55bn from N11.13bn in 2022.

At the end of 2023, SAHCO reported an 883 per cent increase in its profit to N3.04bn from N309m in the previous year.

SAHCO closed trading flat on Thursday at N25.5 per unit.
