Hi. I'd like someone to code me a mod that will allow usergroups with permission to be able to format their username the way they'd like. Similar to your points per name style mod without the need of the iBEconomy mod. I have no real use for it so I just need the name formatting aspect of it for my forum. This is to allow my VIP members and staff members to change the way their name looks around the forums, etc.

Could you please code this for me, IBEconomy? I'd imagine since you basically already have it done it wouldn't be too difficult to slightly modify for my needs? Thanks

Would you be able to do this mod for me, Eric? For a reasonable price? (Less then $100 perhaps?) It'd be greatly appreciated. :-) Naturally it'd have to appear all over the forum where-ever possible

Also, I sent you the item for you to use here so you can see how it works (except instead of being in ibEconomy, it would be in UCP somewhere).

How would I test it out? Also i've used the mod on other versions of IPB (1.3 2.3 (Dean from Dscripting updated the 1.3 mod to 2.3 for me back in the day) and i even had it ported over to vBulletin 3.8 for $50 )

And yes it'd have to be a UCP option somewhere and be permission based, so basically say I want: Admins, Moderators and VIPs to use it. there would be an option in user group management like "Can use name formatting? - Yes/No"

Or something similar.

Oh, I forgot you've never used ibEconomy! You'll notice next to your posts you have an item now, under your Birthday. You can use the item by going to http://emoneycodes.c...ea=my_shopitems and clicking on that item and then the Use Item button. As you can see I already gave you a shadow name (new feature, that will be in the next release later today) but you can change it to something to see how it works. If I made a stand-alone app it would involve the same procedure.

I won't "officially" charge you, but if you paid 29.99 to become a Customer here, that would be a nice motivator. True, most of the hooks are done, but I still need to do all the paperwork of creating an app, the UCP hooks, etc.

Also, the shadow? What is that? is that the same as border?

I'd need:
-text color
-background color
-border color
-border style (solid, dotted, dashed)
-bold
-italic
-normal
-SmallCaps
-underline
-overline
-strike through

and be able to use all of these options if desired. Hope that helps some

It will only do the things that Points Per Name style does, hence why I showed you how to use it so you can check it out.

Shadow is, well, it looks like a shadow. My name currently has a pink shadow.

Ahh i can barely see it

You couldn't possibly add in the border for me instead? I don't really need the smallcaps or whatnot but the border is kinda needed.....

Border (outline) is still there. The new shadow feature has a setting which allows the admin to choose either to use outline or shadow.

Ohhh I see. Well as long as the border can be done.

So yeah i guess everything is good then, just needs an option in the User CP to bring the style back to normal as well (revert) if possible. But i'm sure that's easy enough to do (just uncheck things and remove the hex code )

Okay yeah sounds good. So how long do you think it'd be before the mod would be ready? Would it be finished by the new year?
